Spell Tarot cards
Spell Tarot cards in Latvian.
Tarot cards are an ancient divination system that originated in Italy in the middle of the 15th century. Tarot cards quickly spread throughout Europe, becoming the most popular divination system in the world. Tarot cards and their interpretations created by British mystic Arthur Edward Waite (1867-1942) and artist Pamela Coleman Smith (1878-1951) have become the most popular today. These cards were first published in 1909 in London. Since then, many versions of the tarot have been created based directly on the meaning of the Rider Waite tarot.
There are 78 cards in the Tarot deck, of which 22 are Major Arcana cards and 56 Minor Arcana cards.
Tarot cards are packed in a velvet pouch. Printed cards have rounded corners.
The tarot set includes a brochure in Latvian, which contains detailed explanations of the meaning of the tarot and variants of card layouts.
